Work in progress Album cover for Style Class

This is for my Style class at Art Center, we had to do an album cover in the style of Al Hirschfeld or Charlie Harper. I chose to do a portrait of Siouxsie Sioux from the band Siouxsie and the Banshees, in the style of Al Hirschfeld. I'm not sure it really captures the look of Siouxsie, but I'm happy with it so far.

London Olympics logo

This was for my expressive type class at Art Center, the assignment was to redesign an existing logo. I chose the upcoming London Olympics because I thought the existing logo was pretty bad. The thinking was to create a gestalt Union Jack in the negative space, which is an instantly recognizable symbol of London. My teacher thought it was pretty successful!

Some character designs for a comic I've been meaning to do forever. The girl is an alien who inadvertedly falls in love with the guy. I was thinking the aliens are responsible for all the major wonders of the world, and they've returned in modern times. I think I'd like to simplify more now!

More sketches

Hello, I decided to get myself going by posting sketches more frequently. Obviously these are not finished, but I think having quicker sketches like this allows me to draw (and update) more often. Anyways, more nerdom!

More fanart

Here's Faust from Guilty Gear X. He doesn't really look as imposing here as he does in the game. Awesome character though, one of my favorites.

Some cheeky fanart

I'm planning on going to an anime convention and hope to sell some work there, so here's some fanart from Guilty Gear X2 and Urusei Yatsura. Yes, I know this is the nerdiest thing ever, but I had fun, so sue me. Anyways, they will be cleaned up in Flash. I definitely need to fix wonky bits, but I liked the initial poses.
