Derelict Desert planet concepts

I'm working on an intellectual property with some friends, and these are some concepts for a desert planet where the main character starts her journey. I have been looking at a lot of desert landscapes and also a lot of 80s science fiction that depicts beat up technology well (i.e. Aliens and the like).
